It is a simple, effective procedure that uses the power of Nd:YAG laser light to heat evenly throughout the depth of the affected nail and skin tissue, effectively weakening and killing parasitic fungi which have infected the nails.*
We offer treatments for a wide range of warts and verrucae using Fotona’s Er:YAG and Nd:YAG lasers. Er:YAG laser therapy provides extremely precise ablation of warts. Nd:YAG laser therapy offers deep, selective absorption (penetrates even through calloused tissue) which induces coagulation of blood vessels feeding the wart, causing subsequent necrosis. Both forms of therapy require no anesthesia, no need to remove any extra tissue, nor any special post-procedure skin care. Antibacterial efforts promote faster healing and reduce the possibility of recurrence.*
Laser hair removal treatments are offered for long-term reduction of unwanted hair growth. The laser emits a gentle beam of light that passes through the skin to the hair follicle, where it is absorbed. Upon absorption, the laser energy is transformed into heat, which can disable the follicle. Each laser pulse treats about a half-inch area, which can contain ten or more hairs. The amount of time needed depends on the size of the area to be treated. Most patients describe the treatment as a series of slight pin pricks or rubber band snaps to the skin, and the majority tolerate this sensation without anesthetics. Within about 30 minutes of treatment, the area may become pink or red and may remain this way for a few hours to one day.
Because hair grows in cycles, multiple treatment sessions are needed to diminish hair growth. The laser only affects hair when it is in its early growth phase. In fact, the laser will disable follicles that are actively producing hair at the time of treatment. At any time, some hair follicles are dormant. Repeated sessions will be necessary to treat these dormant follicles when they re-enter the growth phase. On average, three to five treatments are needed to achieve desired results. Currently, only dark hair responds to treatments.*

Levulan® Photodynamic Therapy (Levulan® PDT) is an advanced treatment for actinic keratosis (AK) or rough-textured, dry, scaly patches on the skin that can lead to skin cancer. Levulan® PDT, a two-part treatment course, is unique because it uses a light-activated drug therapy to destroy AKs. Levulan® Kerastick® Topical Solution is applied to the AKs, then absorbed by the AK cells where it is converted to a chemical that makes the cells extremely sensitive to light. When the AK cells are exposed to the BLU-U® blue light illuminator, a reaction occurs which destroys the AK cells.*
